Straight From The Journal: On Making Life Choices - And Living With It


A guy was shot to the ground in front of me when I was in primary school. He was shot somewhere near the chest. I could tell he wanted to scream but he couldn’t so he just cried. I looked at him for a few seconds until he was no longer moving.

My guardian quickly pulled me away from the crime scene. I never knew what happened after. Did he die? Why was he shot? Was it some kind of a metaphor? Was I looking at myself? The memory haunts me every time.

The thing is, life itself will always be smart enough to trick us. It’s how we make our choices - and live with it - that creates the difference. So for as long as we live - go, thrive, become.
